Are you looking to implement or fine tune your cover cropping systems? This workshop will show how cover crops can be the primary input in organic systems. It will discuss how cover crops can be used to reduce reliance on nitrogen fertilizer, disrupt pest cycles, and mitigate soil damage associated with tillage. The workshop will also cover the differences in organic and conventional cover crop management in horticultural and agronomic cropping systems.

Presenter: Arthur Siller is the Soil Health Educator for UMass Extension. They have worked with cover crops as an organic farm manager in New England and as a graduate student at UMass and the University of Wisconsin. Arthur is excited to help workshop attendees find the cover crops that promote long-term farm resilience for their farms and fit with their production systems.

Space is limited for in-person attendance, so the event will also be livestreamed via Zoom. Please let us know if you need to cancel your in-person registration for any reason.
