Organic Potato Production with SDSU Southeast Research Farm

At the SDSU Southeast Research Farm, research on questions that producers have is a focus that drives outreach and education to continue. Agriculture is continually changing and being educated on these changes is one more tool for producers to have in their tool box as they move forward in their production and legacy they build. During this past 2024 growing season Joslyn Fousert, SDSU Agronomy Hort Research Assistant, had the opportunity to complete research for an organic potato variety trial on the comparison of tilled versus mulched no-till plots.

This was just the first year of research, but the preliminary findings and yield data gathered are applicable and very informative. Join us on March 5th to hear more about the research and findings.
